Vintage Qu'hier que Demain Band in 14k

Circa late 1960s, a chunky yellow gold band with a motif playing on a French love token design by Alphonse Augis, which was inspired by a line from an early 20th century poem by Rosemonde Gerard. A rebus of sorts with the combination of text "qu'hier, que demain" and a plus and minus symbol translating to "More than yesterday, less than tomorrow"
Details: Crafted in solid 14k yellow gold, approximately 10 mm wide and 1.74 mm thick. Not marked for gold content but XRF tests to 14k. Weighs approximately 8.7 grams.
Size: Hits a 7 3/4 on the mandrel but due to the thickness and width fits about a size smaller.
Condition: In excellent condition with a slight patina and a couple of light marks.
