A vintage 18k gold beetle or ladybug charm, circa 1970, enameled in bright orange with black polka dots, accented by a line of diamonds down the back, estimated .10 ctw, and ruby eyes.
Beetles and ladybugs are traditionally considered good luck symbols, and some believe if a ladybug lands within your sight, true love will soon follow.
Details: Approximately 1" north to south, not including the attached bail, and a hair shy of 1" east to west. Stamped on the inside of the abdomen for 18k with Italian hallmarks indicating manufacture after 1968. Weighs approximately 6.1 grams.
Condition: In excellent condition with a minimal wear and a light patina but no chips or scratches in the enamel.
