Victorian Jeweled Bee Locket
A late 19th century locket beautifully crafted in 14k rose gold with a gem-set bee on the front cover, its wings created by an overlay of platinum with hand-engraved details. Its thorax is accented by a glittering mine-cut diamond, with a natural velvet-blue sapphire standing in as its abdomen.
Brimming with positive symbolic meaning, this would be a thoughtful bridal gift. The bee represented hard work and loyalty in the 19th century, with an association to the sweeter things in life- like honey and flowers- and bee themed jewels were often given to Victorian brides.
The back is plain and can accommodate initials or a special date. Please message us before purchase for the details of our engraving service.
