A sweet antique mid-19th century Victorian mourning locket in 14k yellow gold featuring a spray of flowers in a black enamel field on the front, with a seed pearl accent. It's a sentimental remembrance piece, the back opens to reveal a compartment lined with purple silk, large enough to accommodate a photo or small memento like a lock of hair.
Details: The locket itself measures approximately 1" north to south, not including the bail and 3/4" east to west. Not marked for gold content but XRF tested to 14k. Hung on a fine 20" 14k cable chain, total necklace weight 5.1 grams.
Condition: In excellent antique condition with a light patina but no disfiguring dents or scratches. The compartment has some oxidization, not visible when closed.
