Victorian Banded Agate Bead Necklace

A late 19th century Victorian bead necklace featuring perfect orbs of polished banded black and white agate, with a couple of them exhibiting striations in shades of chocolate brown. Beautifully matched for color and cut so the white bands in the body of the stone are aligned perfectly through the center of each bead. A stunning example for the agate collector.
Details: The beads are hand-knotted on black silk with a 9k tube clasp. Measuring approximately 17" long with the beads graduated from 7.5 mm to 12.8 mm.
Condition: In excellent antique condition. There are no obvious chips, scratches or abrasion to the stones and the clasp is in strong working condition showing minimal patina.
