Victorian Athena Heart Shaped Cameo Necklace

The Goddess Athena is the OG inspiration for female strength, revered by the Ancient Greeks for her intellectual skills and wisdom, as well as strategic genius and heroic courage. This heart-shaped cameo celebrates her myth, carved into sard- which is essentially deeply colored carnelian, and set in a fob crafted of 10k rose gold with platinum accents.

Details: Measuring approximately 1 3/8" north to south and 1" east to west. Not marked for metal content but XRF tests to 10k gold and platinum. Hung from a fine 20" 14k rose gold curb chain with mid-century Russian hallmarks.  Total necklace weight 6.9 grams.

Condition: In excellent antique condition. The fob setting has a light patina and a few subtle dimples but nothing distracting when worn. The stone shows minimal wear, but no chips or scratches, with crisp details.
