Victorian Coral Rose Girandole Earrings

$0.00

This product is unavailable

Antique Victorian girandole earrings circa 1875, crafted in 10k yellow and rose gold with realistically carved coral roses and airy dangle drops that sway lightly with the wearer's movement.

A romantic statement with unmistakable antique cachet, their construction makes them comfortably lightweight enough for everyday wear.

DETAILS: Each measures approximately 1 15/16" north to south from the top of the ear wire curve to the bottom of the middle drop, and 5/8" east to west at the widest. Not marked for metal content but acid test to 10k. Pair weighs approximately 5.4 grams total.

CONDITION: In excellent condition with a light patina, but no disfiguring dents, dings or scratches.

HISTORY: A girandole configuration features three dangling ornaments suspended from a larger central element. This style was especially popular from the early seventeenth century into the eighteenth featuring a bow with dangling pear shapes; 19th century styles expanded on this design.
