Victorian Coiled Snake & Coral Teardrop Pendant

Circa 1860 this Victorian pendant features a plump golden snake, crafted in 18k, coiled around a smooth coral teardrop. Likely originally a cloak or stick pin that was converted at some point in its history, he makes a lovely solo statement but can play with with others in a curated collection.
Details: Measuring approximately 1 1/8" north to south including the large bail and 3/8" east to west. Not marked for metal content but XRF tests to 18k. Hung from an 18" 14k cable chain.
Condition: In excellent condition with a light patina. The coral has a couple of natural inclusions and slight variance in saturation but overall a smooth salmon color.
