Fossilized Pine Cone Pendant

Perfectly preserved this fossilized pine cone dates to the Eocene Period, making it somewhere between 33 to 55 million years old, which frankly flabbergasts me. We drilled a channel through the top and added the 14k bail to make a truly one-of-a-kind pendant. If you are as fascinated with the mind-blowing immensity of time, as well as the granular nature of its effects, then this may be the talisman for you.

Details: The fossil measures approximately 1 1/4" long including the bail, the bail is solid 14k yellow gold. It will come hung on 35" of Japanese silk cord which ties to close, providing an adjustable necklace length up to about 28", depending on how it's tied. And of course the pendant could always be switched over to a chain if preferred.
