Blue Chalcedony Eye Bead Necklace

A glowing strand of translucent chalcedony in a lavender-tinged blue, with an Ethiopian eye-chalcedony talisman bead taking center stage. The eye bead is a completely natural form, polished smooth by human hands but the distinctive orbicular patterns and shape designed by Mother Nature.

Since the Neolithic age “eye” beads of this type have been considered lucky amulets, helpful in warding off bad luck and the ill intentions of outside forces. 

Details: Knotted on lavender silk, with a total length of approximately 17 1/2" long, the oval beads average 12.5 mm by 8 mm, the eye bead is 14.6 mm by 14mm. The hook and eye style clasp is 21k.
