An antique Victorian buckle brooch circa 1880, crafted in sterling silver inlaid with beautifully iridescent natural mother of pearl of a striking concentric pattern. The shimmering tones of green, rose, peach and pale blue are a gorgeous contrast to the smooth gleam of silver.
Originally used to hold together a belt or shawl, the oversized buckle is sturdy and well made, perfect for a scarf, hat, or tote as well as an interesting cardigan closure.
Details: Measuring approximately 2 3/8" long and 1 5/8" wide. Marked for sterling on the back.
Condition: In excellent condition with nominal wear, and slight antique patina. The tube hinge and c-clasp are in firm working order.
