A realistically detailed pink carnation decorates the top of this little pillbox pendant, circa 1910. In the language of flowers a carnation refers to a mother's eternal love, making this perfect as a mother's day or baby shower gift.
Details: Measuring approximately 3/4" by 7/8" across the top and 1/2" deep. Lightly gilded on the inside with two illegible hallmarks on the inside bottom. Not marked for metal content but XRF tests to 900 silver.
Condition: In excellent condition, with some light wear to the enamel, but no significant chips or scratches. The hinge has a little play when the lid is open but is in good working order and the box stays shut when closed.
