Edwardian Peridot & Pearl Négligée Necklace
An elegant antique necklace, circa 1900, featuring genuine peridot of vivid saturation and bright sparkle; the creamy white pearls that dot the links have a soft glow, perfectly accenting the rich green color of the gems.
This particular configuration is known as a "negligee necklace" or "negligee drop," a long necklace terminating in drops or tassels of irregular length. It's a design that well-suited the necklines and delicate dressmaker details of the Edwardian era, and makes a chic statement today.
Details: The chain gives the piece an approximately 17" necklace length with the longest drop adding an additional 2 3/16". The peridot have a combined approximate 5.69 ctw. The chain is 18k and the links and drops are 15k, both marked. The necklace comes with a complete appraisal by a third party GIA and AGA certified gemologist.
Condition: In excellent condition. The barrel clasp opens and closes securely.
