The low-profile multi-prong setting makes it a comfortable fit on the hand, easy to wear on a daily basis.
Details: Measuring approximately 9.39 mm north to south at the center front, with a 2.63 mm band width at the center back. The ring will come with a full appraisal by a third party G.I.A. and AGA certified gemologist.

History: The belcher mounting, a deep-set seat with a ring of prongs, was developed by Thomas Belcher around 1850, it was one of the most popular 19th-century styles to showcase solitaire stones.
Old mine-cut diamonds were developed in the 18th century and used throughout the 19th, until the development of the European-cut in the early 20th century, and soon thereafter the modern brilliant-cut that's used today. Old mine-cuts had fallen out of favor by that point, but they've been experiencing a resurgence of popularity in recent years due to their unique character, as each stone is one of a kind.
