Belt Buckle Ring in 18k Letter Dated 1894
Crafted in 18k yellow gold with a warm honey tint, this antique belt ring has English hallmarks for manufacture in Chester, circa 1894. The belt ring was a popular form in the 19th century as a promise ring or love token; as it's unending when clasped, it symbolized fidelity, eternal devotion, protection and strength.
Details: Measuring a hair over 1/4" wide at approximately 6.7 mm wide through the band and 9.9 mm across the buckle, with a thickness of 1.14 mm. Fully hallmarked for 18k, manufactured in Chester, England in 1894. Weighs 7.2 grams.
Size: Size 7, resizable down slightly, we can size up but the added gold may not match the original.
Condition: In excellent condition with the mellow patina of dignified age and some light softening of the details, but no disfiguring scraches or dents.
