Antique Knights Templar Signet Ring

$900.00

A wide antique cigar-band style Knights Templar signet crafted in 14k rose gold circa 1925, chased with the Templar knight and crossed swords on one shoulder and the skull and crossbones or skull of Sidon on the other shoulder. The initials C.E. are applied to the front in yellow gold, against a stippled backround.

Details: Measuring approximately 5/8" north to south at the center front, with a 6.44 mm width at the center back. Marked for 14k gold on the inside of the band next to the hallmark for S. Bauchsbaum & Co., manufacturing jewelers out of Chicago, Ilinois from 1922-1950. Weighs approximately 9 grams.

Size: Size 10, although the width may make it fit more snugly, and resizable at least one to two full sizes.

History: Established in the early 12th century as a Catholic military order to defend Christian pilgrims traveling to the Holy Land, it's members combined martial prowess with a pledge to lead a monastic life devoted to service and charity; warrior monks in other words.
