Antique Zodiac Sign Band

A rare early 20th century antique band crafted in 14k yellow gold with a bright yellow hue, featuring both apotropaic and zodiac symbols around the outside. An interesting statement combining the astrological with the talismanic, speaking to the revival of interest in Astrology and spiritualism in the 19th century after a period of disdain brought about by the advances of scientific study in the 17th & 18th centuries.

Details: Measuring approximately 7 mm wide and 1.39 mm thick; a "cigar style" with a low profile, comfortable for everyday wear. Not marked for gold content but professionally tested to 14k. Weighs approximately 4.1 grams.
