Victorian Hand Holding Diamond Charm
Designed as a golden gloved hand with black enameled gauntlet cuff, this skillfully-wrought Victorian charm holds a very sparkly natural old mine-cut diamond. Likely originally a cravat or cloak pin, with a stippled texture on the palm that glitters softly behind the prismatic flash of the stone.
Details: The charm measures approximately 3/4" long and 1/4" wide, the diamond is completely natural, an estimated .38 ct, with a color like old-fashined ginger-ale and SI-2 clarity. The charm isn't marked for metal content but XRF tests to 16k, although the cuff and hand may have a metal interior for strength and form. The fingers are solid gold.
Condition: In excellent condition with a light antique patina and subtle wear to the details. A few light scratches on the enamel.
