Victorian Bird of Paradise Enamel Glass Ring
The focal point of this unique solitaire ring is a wonderful Victorian art glass "amethyst", the image of a colorful Bird-of-Paradise fired inside the body of the gem itself, much like the technique used in Italian or French glass ware. At some point in the mid-20th century it was set in a 14k yellow gold statement gem mounting, I doubt you'll ever see another like it.
Details: Measuring approximately 3/4" north to south and 9/16" east to west across the face of the stone, with a rise of 3/8" above the finger when worn. Marked for 14k inside the band, weighs a total 8.2 grams.
Size: 7 3/4 and resizable about 2 full sizes. Please send us a message before purchase if you are interested in the details of our sizing service.
Condition: In excellent condition. The body of the stone has a subtle color zoning seen with magnification and minimal abrasion, but no obvious chips or scratches.
