History: Etruscan Revival was an aesthetic movement begun in the early 19th century which drew inspiration from the archeological discoveries of the time in Pompeii and Herculaneum. This style of goldworking encompassed techniques lost since the decline of that civilization, the granulation and corded wire applications specifically, and it remained a popular decorative motif throughout the rest of the 19th century.
