Victorian Etruscan Revival Locket in 20K

A large antique Etruscan Revival Victorian locket circa 1875; crafted in 20k yellow and rose gold featuring a loop and swag motif on the front cover, accented by delicate Etruscan-style filigree work.

The back is plain and could be engraved with your choice of monogram initials, or perhaps a special date; with its deep inner chamber it's perfect for a photo or small keepsake such as a lock of hair.

Details: Measuring approximately 2 1/8" north to south including the large bail, and 1 1/8" east to west at the widest. Weighs approximately 15.4 grams. Not marked for gold content but XRF tests to slightly higher than 20k. Hung from an antique 24" 10k curb chain, weight approximately 4.9 grams.

Condition: In excellent condition with some light wear and subtle marks but no disfiguring dents or bruises. The hinged lid opens and shuts firmly and stays securely closed. We've kept the antique patina intact as it deepens the color of the gold, beautifully enhancing the details.
