Our charmingly detailed fly ear cuff was inspired by a whimsical Victorian collar button; we molded the original and cast him in solid recycled 14k yellow gold.
Flies in particular had symbolic significance in the 19th century and were used sometimes as representations of human mortality and by extension spiritual humility.
They're also a totem of resiliency and spirited independence: in short, risk takers.
