Victorian Pavé Turquoise & Pearl Dragonfly Brooch

Antique pavé turquoise always makes my heart beat a little faster, but a dramatically-scaled Victorian dragonfly brooch with pavé turquoise and pearls absolutely makes me gasp. Crafted in 900 silver with wings and body covered in natural turquoise and split pearls, her little garnet eyes gleam as if fully aware of how fabulous she is.

A wealth of myth and lore surrounds the dragonfly. Symbolic of transformation and adaptability because of the stages in which they mature, they move with seeming ease from water to air in effortless transition. Significant across cultures worldwide they are representative of good luck, emotional well-being, purity and strength.

Details: The brooch measures approximately 2" down the length of the body by 2 3/4" across the wingspan. Professionally tested to 900 silver.

Condition: In excellent condition with a rich patina and some visible natural matrix on the turquoise, but no significant scratches or cracks. The hinge and c-clasp are in secure working order.
