Art Deco Platinum 1.6 ctw Old Mine Diamond Engagement

$4,950.00

Crafted in platinum circa 1930 this classic Art Deco engagement ring features an old mine-cut diamond of significant brilliance and fire, graded as approximately .90 ct., SI-1 clarity and H color. The dynamic lines of the design, milgrained sections bead-set with an additional .70 ctw of old mine-cut diamonds, focus attention on the prismatic center stone, a secure mounting comfortable for everyday wear.

Old mine-cut diamonds have an almost liquid quality to their sparkle. It's hard to describe and it's absolutely gorgeous in person. After the brilliant cut was fully developed in the early 20th century mine-cuts fell out of favor, but they've been experiencing a resurgence of popularity in recent years due to their unique character: each stone is one of a kind.
