Victorian Cameo with Pearl Earrings
An elegant pair of antique cameo earrings circa 1875, crafted in 14k gold with a light rose tint, featuring beautifully carved black and white agate portraits of regal Victorian ladies, their tiaras indicating nobility, perhaps meant as a reference to Queen Victoria.
The accent of creamy split pearls adds a delicate touch of shimmer, and highlights the contrast of colors in the carving.
Details: With a comfortable weight of approximately 5.1 grams each, they are easy on the lobe for everyday wear. Measuring approximately 2" north to south from top of the wire to bottom of the drop, and 13/16" at the widest. Not marked for gold content but professionally tests to 14k.
Condition: In excellent condition with a gentle all over antique patina speaking to dignified age. No apparent wear, damage or chipping to the cameos; the details are crisp.
