Victorian Lion Bangle with Diamonds

$2,700.00

Lions and tiger and bears were favorite motifs for jewels in the late 19th century. This antique Victorian bangle bracelet is crafted in 10k yellow gold, featuring a big cat with flowing mane and glittering ruby eyes, a fiery old mine-cut diamond set in his jaws, flanked by diamonds to each side accenting the scrolled shoulders.

An elegant solo statement for the feline lover, the gold has a warm glow with a light antique patina that gives depth and character to the modeling of that proud face.

Details: Set with an approximate .25 ct. old mine-cut diamond in the jaws, and two old mine-cut diamonds on the shoulders, estimated at .14 ct each for a total estimated .53 ctw. Not marked for gold content but professionally tests to 10k, weighs 19.5 grams.

Size: A 7 1/2" inner circumference, measuring approximately 2 5/8" across the widest closed diameter and 2 1/4" across from front to back diameter. A width of 1 1/8" north to south at the center front, with a 1/8" width of the bracelet at the center back.

Condition: In excellent condition, with a light antique patina and minimal wear, the bracelet hinge and clasp are in firm and sturdy working order.
