Boulder Opal Statement Ring

Our TEC custom boulder opal ring makes a rich statement with the stone's delicious swirl of caramel and chocolate matrix, bright rivulets of electric green and fuschia, and surprise sparks of lemon yellow and tangerine. We chose accents of natural pink sapphire, spinel and tourmaline to play to the sparks of brilliant color, setting them around the opal and along the branches of the shoulders.

It's designed to stand on its own as a unique statement, but it also mixes well with other pieces in your daily ring fit.

Details: Measuring approximately 3/4" north to south at the face, the shank varies slightly in width in the 2-3 mm range all around. Marked for 14k inside the band. We are committed to renewing resources and only use recycled gold for our handmade pieces.

Size: Currently size 7 1/4 and resizable at least three full sizes without issue.

History: Boulder opal was first discovered in Western Queensland, Australia in 1870; Australian Aboriginal legend describes opal as evidence of The Creator's visit to earth to council mankind, divine footsteps that brought the rock to life with energy, light and color. The intensely colored opal vein forms in ironstone boulders, and usually when cut some of this host stone is included as a rich contrast to the magical iridescence of the gem. It's one of the most valuable forms of opal: a fascinating mix of primitive and refined.
