Vintage Ivy Leaf Band Dated 1940
A beautifully detailed vintage band crafted in solid 18k yellow gold showcasing the centuries-old language of flowers with its articulated ivy motif.
The ivy leaf has been used for centuries to represent the ideals of fidelity, marriage, friendship and affection; its meaning is underlined by the eternity style of the ring, unbroken and endless.
Originally meant as a wedding ring, it would be perfect worn in a stack with other interesting bands or on its own as a solo statement.
Details: Measures approximately 6.88 mm wide and weighs approximately 6.2 grams. Marked for 18k and engraved on the inside "Doris and Johnson Sept. 7 1940" as well as hallmarked BB&B for Bailey, Banks & Biddle, manufacturing jewelers out of Phila. Pa., founded in 1832.
Size: 5 3/4 scant (between 5 1/2 and 5 3/4). Due to the width, it will most likely feel slightly smaller.
Condition: In excellent condition with a warm glow and smooth silky feel.
