H.Stern Amethyst Sputnik Ring

A vintage 18k yellow gold half-dome statement ring studded with lush purple amethysts. An iconic design created by H. Stern in the 1950s to showcase the range of gemstones found in their mines in Brazil; it's known as the "Sputnik" after its resemblance to the 1957 Soviet-launched satellite of the same name.

Perfect for fans of mid-century design, as well as an interesting take on February's birthstone.

Details: Measuring approximately 7/8" in diameter at the widest, with a height of about 1/2" above the finger when worn. Marked "750" for 18k gold content with an early H. Stern hallmark.
