Edwardian Opal & Mine Cut Diamond Halo Ring

$1,500.00

A stunning antique ring circa 1910, crafted in 14k yellow gold with a light rosy tint, featuring a bright natural Australian opal cabochon of rainbow-hued color play. The halo of fiery old mine-cut diamonds around it emphasizes its soft confetti pattern: flashes of orange, green, yellow and teal in a misty blue field.

Details: Measuring approximately 11 mm in diameter across the setting, about 7/16", with a 1.35 mm width at the center back of the band. The natural old mine-cut diamonds are estimated at approximately .50 ctw, I/J color and SI-1/SI-2/ I1 clarity.

Size: 6 1/2. Resizable about two full sizes without issue. Please contact us before purchase if you are interested in the details of our sizing service.

Condition: In excellent condition, with some light wear to the top of the opal visible with a jeweler's loupe.

Info: October's birthstone, the opal is considered to be lucky but the luck is reserved for the faithful of heart. Traditionally, the unfaithful might not find this gemstone's influence as beneficial. To give a gift of opal says you are pledging your loyalty either romantically or platonically, and combining the opal with diamonds assures the sincerity and intended longevity of the promise.
