Featuring a crescent moon and star motif, traditionally held to be symbols of hope, wisdom, guidance and feminine intuition, this antique brooch circa 1890 is perfect for the modern bohemian. Studded with creamy white seed pearls, the crescents are arranged to frame a single star, set with a glittering approximately .04 ct old mine cut diamond.
Details: Measuring approximately 15/16" high by 1 1/4" wide. Not marked for metal content but XRF tests to 14k, weighs approximately 4.6 grams.
Condition: In excellent antique condition with a light patina and a tiny bit of dark solder on the pinstem near the hinge.
