Victorian Pearl Locket in 18k
A sweet Victorian locket circa 1860, crafted in 18k rose-tinted gold set with five creamy white pearls down the center. The interior compartment has a hinged glass panel that lifts so a small keepsake can be inserted: a photo, lock of hair, or dried flower from a special bouquet.
DETAILS: Measuring approximately 1 3/8" north to south including the large bail and 1/2" east to west. The interior compartment measures approximately 5/8" by 3/8". Not marked for gold content but XRF tests to 18k. Hung from a contemporary 16" 14k rose gold cable chain. Total 9 gram weight for the necklace.
CONDITION: In excellent condition with a light patina and a few subtle dings along the edge of the locket, with light wear to the glass inside. The hinge is in proper working order and the locket stays firmly closed.
