Victorian Silver Peanut Perfumer
$0.00
A realistically detailed Victorian sterling silver peanut pendant with a surprise: it opens to reveal it's actually a perfumer. Meant to hang from a chatelaine as an accessory a 19th century lady would like to keep handy to help combat all the various smells she might encounter in an era before Febreeze or deodorant.
Details: Measuring approximately 1 7/8" long and about 5/8" at the widest. Marked "sterling" on the side, weighs approximately 7.5 grams.
Condition: In excellent condition, with a rich patina and some light wear to the details with slight oxidization of the interior of the cap. The cap screws down securely, and the hinged lid stays shut when closed.
