Victorian Diamond Horseshoe Earrings
Circa 1890, a pair of antique 14k yellow gold horseshoe earrings, set along their curves with a bevy of gittering old mine-cut diamonds. The stones are completely natural with uniquely energetic sparkle, and the warm personalities we love in old-cut diamonds.
Details: Originally the earrings had kidney wires but they were damaged so we repleced them with easy to wear contemporary shepard's hooks in solid 14k. Measuring approximately 1 1/4" long from ear wire curve to bottom of the drop, the horseshoes themselves are 5/8" high by 9/16" wide. The old mine-cut diamonds have an estimated .36-.40 ctw for the pair. Not marked for gold content but XRF tests to 14k, 2.8 gram weight for the pair.
Condition: In excellent antique condition with a light patina and some oxidization on the back, not visible when worn.
