Victorian Turquoise & Pearl Crescent Moon Charm

An antique Victorian crescent moon charm, crafted in 14k yellow gold set around the curve with pearls, a turquoise accented star nestled in the center. A favorite 19th century gem combo, both stones symbolically referencing fidelity, devotion and sincerity.

Details: The crescent measures approximately 3/8" in diameter, not marked for metal content but XRF tests to 14k gold, and weighs approximately .8 grams. 

Condition: In excellent antique condition, the stones appear all original and are free of chips or scratches. 

History: The crescent moon, generally interpreted to mean wisdom and knowledge, is a symbol that has been used for centuries by cultures across Central Asia and the Eastern Mediteranean, while the star represents the guidance such wisdom and knowledge can offer.
