Claddagh Ring with Georgian Garnet Heart
We crafted this version of the centuries-old claddagh motif using a circa 1800 Georgian crowned heart element, a symbolic reference to loyalty and love, modeled in gold and silver with a vibrant-red foiled rose-cut garnet and rose-cut diamonds studding the crown. It's mounted to a shank of our own design, featuring the hands of friendship gently cradling the heart.
Details: Measuring approximately 1/2" north to south at the center front and 3/8" across the width of the crown, the band has a 2.30 mm width at the center back. The crowned heart element has a karat gold (around 12k) backing with the stones set in sterling. The band is cast in 18k recycled gold, the ring has a total weight of approximately 4.7 grams.
We are committed to sustainable production and use recycled precious metals wherever possible.
Size: Currently size 6 1/2 and resizable at least two full sizes. Please message us before purchase if you are interested in the details of our sizing service.
Condition: The garnet is in overall excellent condiion with a few light nibbles to a couple of facets and light oxidization of the foiling. There’s some light wear to the cut-down collet setting and the metal has a rich patina. We recommend avoiding heavy activies like housework and sports when wearng rings with foiled stones, as well as prolonged immersion in water.
