Art Nouveau Enamel 4-Leaf Clover Pendant
Originally an antique Art Nouveau brooch circa 1900, we've redefined this lovely piece as a pendant for the modern collector. Crafted in 14k yellow gold featuring a realistically detailed four-leaf clover, enameled in rich shades of green and russet, accented with a sparkling mine-cut diamond and a natural baroque pearl in the center.
A four leaf clover is thought to bring luck and each leaf to represent a different theme: faith, love, hope and luck. In the Victorian lexicon of floral symbolism it was also used as a love token, to send a simple but heart-felt message of hopeful affection.
Details: Measuring approximately 1" high by 7/8" wide. The old mine-cut diamond is estimated at .05 ct, SI, G/H. Hung from a fine contemporary 17" 14k cable chain. Total necklace weight approximately 4.2 grams.
Condition: In excellent antique condition with a light patina and light marks on the back where the pin findings were removed. With light abrasion to the enamel on the edge of the lobes, very difficult to notice without a jeweler's loupe.
