Art Deco Carnelian & Marcasite Necklace
$395.00
An elegant statement necklace circa 1920, crafted in sterling silver, set with deep russet carnelian and glittering marcasite.
I love the warm glow of the stones, perfectly complemented by the cool smoky sparkle of the marcasites. The detail is brought out by the rich antique patina of the metal, a lovely statement emphasizing the romantic drama of the era.
Details: With an approximately 16 1/2" necklace length, the carnelian stations are 12 mm wide, the drop is 1" long by 7/8" wide. Though not marked as such the necklace has the design aesthetic and skillful craftsmanship of Wachenheimer Bros., a renowned manufacturing jeweler in Providence R.I. from 1910-1930.
Condition: In excellent condition with minimal wear and crisp details. The original bolt ring clasp is in strong working order.
