Art Deco Two Tone Filigree Aquamarine Ring

$1,200.00

Circa 1930 this 14k two tone gold aquamarine ring combines elements of the architectural Art Deco aesthetic with the sweetness of Edwardian style filigree. The radiant-cut stone is a shimmering sky blue, estimated at approximately 3 ct.; the bright gleam and delicate engraving of the setting complements its lustrous sparkle.

Beautiful worn on its own, but of a low-key enough demeanor to work well with other pieces.

History: Aquamarine has been used as a talisman to guide and promote spiritual calm and courage for centuries. Legend holds that the first aquamarines were given to mortals by generous mermaids and the gemstone is considered especially beneficial for those who travel by water as a charm for safety and luck.

It's also considered a powerful aid to communication and peaceful relationships, and a symbol of hope, youth and vibrant good health. Therefore it might be a wonderful choice for a modern day engagement ring or anniversary gift.
