Victorian Etruscan Revival with Pearl Locket

A beautifully detailed antique Victorian locket circa 1875; crafted in 14k yellow gold featuring a romantic double heart design on the front cover, accented by delicate Etruscan-style filigree work and creamy white seed pearls.

The back is plain and could be engraved with your choice of monogram initials, or perhaps a special date; with its deep inner chamber it's perfect for a photo or small keepsake such as a lock of hair.

Details: A hair over 2" north to south including the attached bail, and 1 1/8" east to west at the widest. Weighs approximately 9.6 grams. Not marked for gold content but acid tests to 14k.

Condition: In excellent condition with some light wear and subtle marks but no disfiguring dents or bruises. The hinged lid opens and shuts firmly and stays securely closed. We've kept the antique patina intact as it deepens the color of the gold, beautifully enhancing the details.
