Antique Enamel R Signet

The flower detail on the shoulders of this antique signet really make it such a special piece. The gothic intial R is enameled a deep cobalt blue, a color that contrasts beautifully with the slightly rosy tone of the gold. 

The perfect pinky ring.

Details: Measuring approximately 1/2" north to south at the face, with a 3.5 mm width at the center back of the band. Marked on the inside of the face 10k with the jeweler's hallmark for Jones & Woodland, manufacturing jewelers in Newark, N.J. from 1896-1915. Weighs approximately 5.1 grams.

Condition: In excellent condition with a slight patina and subtle softening of the details. The enamel shops minimal wear.

History: There was a time, oh some 100 years ago, when the well-dressed gentleman did not feel himself completely outfitted unless he wore a signet ring. Because of their history signet rings have always carried an air of status, few adornments have an attitude as rich.
