Georgian Half Guinea Coin Locket

A mid 19th century locket crafted from a British gold half guinea minted in 1794 as the lid, with a gorgous bloodstone specimen as the back cover. 

Perfect for the numismatic enthusiast on your list. Personally, I am fascinated by old coins; we hold them in our hands today as gleaming little momentoes but they're a meaningful connection to the material realities of lives lived a couple hundred years ago.

Details: Measuring approximately 1” in diameter, not including the bail. Opens to reveal space for one photo with the original photo frame and glass cover. The frame is 14k, gold guinea coins are 22k. Weighs 14.1 grams total. 

Condition: In excellent condition with a light patina and a some subtle wear to the details but nothing obvious or distracting. The hinge is in firm working order and the locket stays firmly closed.
