Victorian Floret Locket
The sweetest little Victorian locket circa 1850, because of the size this may have originally been meant for a young girl. Crafted in yellow gold featuring a delicate floret set with emerald paste, accented by genuine seed pearls and hand-engraved details.
It opens at the back on a deep compartment that likely at one time held a daguerreotype, but now could accommodate a small memento like a lock of hair or baby teeth.
Details: The locket itself measures approximately 3/4" north to south, not including the large bail, and 9/16" east to west. XRF tested to solid 12k, hung from a 21" gold filled cable chain. The locket weighs approximately 2.2 grams.
Condition: In excellent antique condition with a light patina but no disfiguring dents or scratches.
