Victorian Limoges Portrait Pendant with Sapphires & Diamonds

$2,200.00
Circa 1890, a pendant crafted in 18k gold featuring an artistically enameled Limoges porcelian portrait of a young woman in Renaissance court dress, accented by natural sapphires and rose cut diamonds. The cornflower blue of the sapphires emphasizes the rich velvet of her costume, with its touches of contrast gold leaf at the neckline.

Details: The pendant measures approximately 1 1/8" east to west including the stones and 1 1/2" north to south including the rose-cut diamond studded bail. The natural sapphires have an estimated .60 ctw, the natural rose-cut diamonds approximately .10 ctw. Hung from a fine 16 1/4" 14k gold cable chain with a secure lobster clasp. The necklace will come with a full appraisal by a third party G.I.A. and AGA certified gemologist.

Condition: In excellent condition with a light patina but no chips or scratches to the surface of the porcelian.
