Victorian Pearl & Garnet Keepsake Locket

$2,400.00

A lovely early Victorian locket circa 1840, crafted in 14k gold with a light rosy tint. It features glass panes front and back cover, set along the front frame with creamy-white split pearls that also delineate the delicate bow at the top.

We've filled it with flat-cut rhodolite garnets of the same era; their glittering juicy color can be seen from front and back, but you can easily open the locket and place your own memento inside.

Details: The locket itself measures approximately 1 3/8" inches north to south and 3/4" east to west. Hung from a fine antique 18" 14k gold chain that matches the color of the locket. Not marked for gold content but professionally tests to 14k.

Condition: In excellent condition with a gentle antique patina, some light traces of darker solder on the back but no obvious dings, dents or other damage. The glass covers are clear and in good condition with very minimal signs of wear.
