A graceful Victorian hair comb, circa 1895, capped with a richly detailed Rococo shell motif crafted in 14k yellow gold. The natural shell comb has three slender prongs making it easy to insert in either a formal dressy updo, or hairstyle with a more casual vibe.
Details: Measuring approximately 5 1/4" long by 2 1/4" across the width of the top. Marked for 14k gold on the back of the frame
Condition: In excellent condition with some light rubbing on the surface of the tortoise and a beautiful patina to the gold that brings out the intricate details of the motif.
