A vintage circa 1970 Egyptian Revival Eye of Ra pendant crafted in 18k gold with boldly colored enamel and an approximately .20 ct brilliant cut diamond accent. I love the graphic quality of the design, it makes a dramatic statement paired with beads or a chain.
Sacred to the Ancient Egyptians the Eye of Ra is associated with the Sun God Ra, and symbolized protection, healing, and restoration; it was often used as an amulet to ward off evil and bring good luck and blessings.
Details: Measuring approximately 1 north to south including the diamond drop and 1 1/4" at the widest. Markede on the back for 18k, weighs approximately 7.7 grams.
Condition: In excellent condition with a gentle vintage patina and some light marks on the back.
