Vintage Enamel Beetle Charm

A vintage 18k gold beetle or ladybug charm, circa 1950 enameled in an ombré of red to yellow rich with tiny gold polka dots on her wings. Beetles and ladybugs are traditionally considered good luck symbols, and some believe if a ladybug lands within your sight, true love will soon follow.

The perfect talisman for the avid gardener or aspiring entomologist, as well as anyone else looking for interesting additions to their charm collection.

DETAILS: Approximately 3/4" north to south, including the attached bail but not the jump ring, and 5/8" east to west. Stamped on the inside of the abdomen "750" for 18k gold.

CONDITION: In excellent condition with a light patina but no obvious chips or scratches. There are some tiny random dots of green enamel, likely from firing next to another piece, but these are not obvious without close inspection.
