Art Nouveau Diamond Lady Locket
An antique Art Nouveau locket circa 1900 crafted in 14k gold with a light rosy tint, featuring the repoussé portrait of a lovely lady with flowers in her windswept hair, accented by a very bright old-cut diamond, approximately .06 ct.
Possibly a nod to Alphonse Mucha, an artist who's work at the time became hugely influential in his use of floral motifs and feminine manifestations of nature.
Details: Measuring approximately 1 1/16" in diameter. It opens to reveal space for two photos, retaining the original photo holders. Not marked for gold content but XRF tests to 14k, while the jump ring tests to 9k, likely a later replacement of the original. Weighs approximately 7.9 grams. Hung from an antique 18" gold-filled chain.

CONDITION: In excellent condition with a light antique patina and some subtle dings on the back. Opens and closes very securely.
