Belle Epoque Diamond Ring

$3,600.00

This product is unavailable

Circa 1895 this ring was made during the transitional period of Victorian into Edwardian, which produced a beautiful range of jewels combining the grandeur of late 19th century design with the sweetness of the Edwardian aesthetic: the Belle Epoque or "Beautiful Period".

Delicately milgrained details emphasize the brilliance of the twin old-mine cut diamonds arranged vertically in the center, the motif reminds me of an eternity symbol and I love the way it glitters and sparkles in the light. The low profile and secure setting make it perfect for wear on a daily basis.

Details: Constructed of 14k yellow gold with a platinum face, the two main diamonds are old mine-cuts graded VS-2/SI-1 and H/I color with an estimated .80 ctw. The accents stones are a mix of rose-cut and mine-cut, graded VS-1/VS-2/SI-1, with an additional .36 ctw.  Measuring approximately 15/16" north to south and 1/2" east to west across the face, with a 1.78 mm width at the center back of the band.

Marked 585 inside the band, indicating possible European origins, the platinum top has been XRF tested to confirm. The ring will come with a full appraisal by a third party GIA and AGA certified gemologist.

Size: Currently a size 6 and resizable 1-2 full sizes. Please message us for details before purchase if you are interested in the details of our sizing service.

Condition: In excellent condition with crisp details and slight age-related thinning at the back of the band.
